Description

Cresol Plus is a professional dental material containing Formocresol, used primarily in pulp therapy procedures.
It provides antimicrobial and devitalizing effects, making it suitable for pulpotomy in primary teeth and intracanal medicament in selected endodontic treatments.

Composition

  • Formaldehyde
  • Cresol
  • Glycerin
  • Water

(Standard composition: 19% Formaldehyde, 35% Cresol, balance Glycerin & Water)

Indications

  • Pulpotomy in primary teeth.

Directions for Use

  • 1. Isolate the tooth and control bleeding after coronal pulp removal.
  • 2. Moisten a sterile cotton pellet with Cresol Plus (do not oversaturate).
  • 3. Place the pellet on the pulp tissue for 1–5 minutes.
  • 4. Remove the pellet and restore the tooth according to clinical requirements.

Warnings & Precautions

  • For professional dental use only.
  • Avoid contact with soft tissues – may cause burns or irritation.
  • Use sparingly – excessive application may lead to tissue necrosis.
  • Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to formaldehyde or cresol.
  • Classified as a potentially toxic material – handle with extreme care.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

  • Store in a tightly closed container at 15–25°C.
  • Keep away from heat, flames, and direct sunlight.
  • Use only within expiry date.
